If you suffer from acid reflux, it’s pretty likely that you know how frustrating this condition can be, but what if someone told you that you can actually keep it away without medications or having to stop eating all together? When you eat until you’re full, it probably means that you have too much food in your stomach and that means that the muscle at the bottom of the esophagus can’t close properly. Beverages and food containing caffeine can be big triggers for your acid reflux. So, if you have it bad, you’re going to want to avoid chocolate, coffee and other beverages with caffeine in them. You’ll also want to cut back on the amount of alcohol you consume, as this can have a major effect on your heartburn symptoms. Also, avoid spicy and greasy foods since these can often be difficult to digest and tend to make the symptoms get much worse.

By working to change our habits and diet and losing weight if we need to, we can keep acid reflux away not only once in a while, but for good and that means an overall healthier, happier you.
